English Language Education

English language education is offered at all TED schools in line with the English language curriculum that sits within the integrity of k12 as a programme proprietary to TED and approved by the Ministry of National Education which has been prepared on the basis of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

The English program, carried out by our Turkish and foreign teachers, consists of 10 hours of English lessons per week, 6 hours of Main Course and 4 hours of Skills. Our program is built on four basic learning areas: reading, writing, listening and speaking. With our intensive program starting from kindergarten, our students carry out activities and studies that will form the basis of these four basic learning areas.

The program, which has been prepared to give our students the opportunity to learn English with pleasure and use it with self-confidence, starting from the 1st grade, aims to enable students to acquire 21st century skills and develop their English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills at a level appropriate to their age. In addition to acquiring basic knowledge of English, students also gain knowledge about the culture of the language they learn.

Our English education is supported by various online education applications. LevelUp and Cambridge LMS (Learning Management System) applications are online programs that provide extra study materials to our students and run parallel to the textbooks. Our students benefit from these applications throughout the year, in addition to their in-class use, in their after-school studies.

Our students reach the A1+ level according to CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) at the end of the 4th grade. Our students can take the Starters and Movers exams, one of the internationally recognized Cambridge Young Learners (YLE) exams, in the 2nd and 3rd grades.

Our school is a TOEFL exam center. In the 4th grade, all our students take the TOEFL Primary exam at our school. Thus, our students' English levels are measured at international standards.
