English Language Education

English language education is offered at all TED schools in line with the English language curriculum that sits within the integrity of k12 as a programme proprietary to TED and approved by the Ministry of National Education which has been prepared on the basis of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

The number of English classes is 16 at the 5th grade and English education is intensively maintained at the 6th, 7th and 8th grades with 10 hours every week. The English-oriented curriculum applied at the 5th grade adds to the English education provided at our school with great emphasis starting from the Kindergarten without any loss of classes and allows our students to reinforce and perpetuate their foreign language skills.

Our English education is supported by various online education applications. MyON Reader application is an online program that provides extra study materials to our students and runs parallel to the textbooks. Our students benefit from this application in their after-school studies as well as in class throughout the year.

At the end of the 8th grade, our students are aimed to speak English at B1 level according to CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), understand what they read and listen to, and acquire basic written expression skills.

At the end of the qualified education programmes implemented, our students show superior success in the Cambridge ESOL Key, Preliminary and First for Schools exams administered in our school.

Our school is a TOEFL exam centre. In the 7th grade, all our students take the TOEFL Junior exam. Thus, our students' English levels are measured at international standards.
